Grandchildren

Poor Emma..she has to stay at Grandma’s today, and didn’t get to ride the bus or go to Cody’s to play with the kids! But, cousing Renee, Troy and Austin came, so that wasn’t so bad. She is passed out on the couch for a while. This is actually sort of a test post, to see if I can get it on Facebook.

My oldest child, Michele, is a very busy mommy of four, 7, 5, 2, and 4 months. This is a typical day!!! This is her story….
On the way home from dropping Kailey off at school this morning, I was telling Troy and Renee that someone was going to be at our house to fix our toilet. Of course, then they wanted to know who he was, etc. Renee kept saying something about “fix it” and then I realized she was saying, “God, fix it?” We talk about praying to Him to fix things, right? She thought God was coming to our house to fix the toilet!! I told her that God could fix it but He was sending a helper, someone He taught to fix things. That didn’t please her for long though. Next, she wanted to know where God was. I tried telling her that he is everywhere—but that we can’t see him. Finally, I said that God is in Heaven and then she relaxed a little. All the way home, she kept saying, “God fix it, God do it. Can’t see God….” Over and over and over!

I had been in a grumpy funk this morning. Lack of sleep, kids with listening problems, spilled milk to clean up, etc.—now I can’t keep from smiling about Renee’s discovery. She was praying with Austin this morning before we left too, and even asked him to take a turn!

Just thought I’d share this “Renee moment” with all of you. May we all have her belief that God will fix things for us today!

p.s. the man who “helped” God found a toy cell phone after removing the entire toilet….Renee stuffed it w/kleenex the other day but I missed the phone. It’s a good thing God can fix toilets and grumpy mommies!

AMEN!!!
