This one…is quite a girl! She is Little Miss Mary, Quite Contrary to the bone..anything you say to her, she will insist that the opposite is the truth. She has been deathly afraid of the dog and the kittens. NO WAY JOSE would she be close to them without screeching at the top of her [...]
Grandchildren
Decided to try out for Pratt Community College‘s production of “Footloose”…after posing the question on Facebook, and getting encouragement from many “Fans” !!!
Auditions were last night. I brought my knitting project, showing my age, as quite possibly the eldest participant. I really know most of nothing about the plot of the play, even though I do remember watching the movie on TV a few years ago. I don’t remember much. Even as I listened to the reading of the selections of the script being read, I remember very little. I believe in those years I was much too busy raising children to remember much of anything.
The whole process was new. I was in high school plays, but that has been 42 years ago. LONG AGO IN THE OLDEN DAYS! Misty, the Director, was calm, and handled the group well…telling us where to go…well, you know what I mean!
The sweetest surprise….my 8 year old Grandson, Hunter, was there, too! I didn’t know he was coming!
So….the next morning…Facebook update. I read that Misty was giving everyone who tried out, excuse me, auditioned, a part! That was a surprise. A pleasant one. I saw all of those eager children, teens, and college kids so eager and excited to be there, and I had worried about trying to tell any of them that they could not have a part. Kudos to Misty and her crew for the way they handled that worry of mine! I was enjoying the tryouts, so if I got a part or not..not a big deal. It was fun being there.
So, Next Facebok update..the casting was announced. I am officially in the United Church of Bomont Choir, as I suspected, a Church Lady! Are any of you surprised by the type-casting involved in this decision? HA
I am going to have fun….Hunter and I!
Hunter is the one in front of his Mom. My son Patrick and his wife, Ludi, have three great sons, Hunter, Leo, and Gage. They do a wonderful job of encouraging each in their various interests. I don’t know how they keep up with the schedules…but they do. I’m extremely proud of my children, all of them. And all of the Grandchildren, too.
News for the Day…
New photos for the blog. My daughter took some photos and I did some Photo Shop experimenting. Playing the piano, with the grandchildren around is always exciting. I had to crop and do some other things that I can’t remember what they are called…oh, yeah. One was a clone tool. That’s rather scary!

Playing for Him

You get the idea.
Now I will decide better places for these to appear..around the site. Updating, learning.
Last week a wedding and helping with grandchildren kept me busy. This week learning more web page information and trying to apply it. Next week, God only knows. That’s probably a good thing. I tend to worry about things.
Now, I know, you are to Pray to God, and Not Worry. I think I’ve discussed this before somewhere here. Let Go and Let God. I know that one too.
Patrice, where were you headed with this post? You started with photos and ended up wandering down worry lane.
Sorry. As a mother and now a grandmother, I know how to worry, and wander. Side-tracked.
When I speak for groups, I think I do the same thing. Not worry, so much, but I wander. One of the things I’ve learned lately is to find great resources out there in www land. I really need to write a post sometime about the great internet friends I’ve discovered.
There you go again, Patrice..
Sorry, again.
Okay. One last photo.
- Silly Faces
How can you worry
with that grin
and the giggles
accompanying it
staring you in the face?
Yes, God, the days are much brighter when the grandchildren arrive!
Let the Little Children Come to Me
You know, God, I think I get help in getting sidetracked. You gave me Grandchildren to sidetrack me from Worry!
Your Path is long and full of many twists and turns…enjoy your Blessings!
Thank you, Father.
God Hears Us When We PrayMy friend, Mary, had surgery. She had a tumor on a kidney. The robot removed it, and she is doing well. Our God is Awesome! Answered Prayers! Thank you all for praying for Mary. She is the other grandma for three of my grandsons! The one in the picture is the youngest of her/my grandsons. [...] |

Love it when Mom Laughs!Treasures are found in surprising moments.. A photograph, now 2 years old, and 2 great-grandchildren short! My mother visited us, and a photo shoot with the great- grands was in order…not all were excited about standing still! We live way too far away to have many of these moments. But treasure them, I will. Grand-daughters [...] |
Snakes, snakes and more snakes.I found an interesting article on this topic, and it renewed my interest in writing and praying in this manner. But in addition, it connected me to another important journal. The stories that my mother-in-law wrote. A treasure. I stumbled upon a notebook that contained her stories. I had typed them all up years ago, [...] |
The State of UnderwearWife has been my main title for 39 years …Mommy right behind it for 35 years. It has been difficult to keep the proper balance between the two roles. I guess my advice is to do the best you can, and if you make some mistakes along the way, to look forward and not backward. [...] |
Happy Birthday to my Mommy! She is going to be 85 on July 9th. My sisters and I are planning a birthday party for her, and she thinks we are going to a lot of trouble, fussing too much, and that probably no one will come anyway. Well…we will all be there..her children (3), grandchildren [...] |
Granddaughter Attempts Skydiving…FailsSad but true. She needed a bunge cord. Little Renee, age 2, took a dive from the bleachers at the college ball game. The floor won. She has a cracked skull, the Granddaddy of all Black Eyes, a skinned up forehead..but, she is back home already, and her normal self. The guardian angel was on [...] |
