Worry and anxiety does nothing but give you restless nights…

I was concerned about the speaking and playing I was asked to do for the Dodge City Diocese Stewardship Conference last Saturday. Listening to Bishop Gilmore was calming and gave me some food for thought. Then it was time to proceed..

A friend sat by me, and prayed for me before I began…thank you Denise! Her daughter was with her, a young girl…taking piano lessons..spending a day with her Mom. She is the only daughter with six brothers in the household!

I began to talk to the people gathered, just visiting, but since no one could hear me, I started over with the microphone. We were in the Worship area, large open room, but with the microphone..we were all set to go. A lovely grand piano all situated so I could peek through and see all who gathered there.

I spoke, and played, and we prayed. The Holy Spirit was there…even giving one woman words to the songs I was playing! As this was all recorded, I won’t try to restate what I said that day. If you’d like, you can listen to it! It will be posted on the Diocese website, and as soon as it is, I will add a link here.

I have this picture….the sweet lady thought my angel was for sale! She really loved it! So I took her picture, and told her I would send her a copy of the photo…maybe I should have let her have it….

I don’t plan my “speeches”, but let them flow as the music does. Stories of life, and learning how to more closely follow God’s leading…it was a sweet day of communion.

Come, Holy Spirit!
